Halogenases of Qarhan Salt Lake in the Qaidam Basin: Evidence From Halite Fluid Inclusions
نویسندگان
چکیده
The fluid inclusion composition of halite can help track chemical ancient fluids and, thus, serves as a reliable index to analyze brine in salt lakes. Qarhan Salt Lake (QSL) is the largest potash deposit China. Although mixing modern river water and Ca-Cl deep widely accepted potassium formation, characteristics time domain driving factors are still unclear. Here, inclusions primary samples collected from ISL1A borehole QSL was measured by LA-ICP-MS technology. analysis results show that, during formation stage S 4 layer QSL, main layer, contents Ca 2+ Sr increased significantly. There evidence confirming that beneficial enrichment surrounding rivers generally develop terraces. It suggests more inflow northern margin supplies lake, inferring it driven tectonic activities. In addition, shows there an anomaly geochemistry at early QSL. By combining activities, inferred not caused activities but maybe salt-forming event. This work indicates movement have huge impact on evolution Therefore, necessary consider influence lakes when studying paleoclimate using lake deposition.

Entrapment of bacteria in fluid inclusions in laboratory-grown halite.
Cells of the bacterium Pseudomonas aeruginosa, which were genetically modified to produce green fluorescent protein, were entrapped in fluid inclusions in laboratory-grown halite. The bacteria were used to inoculate NaCl-saturated aqueous solutions, which were allowed to evaporate and precipitate halite. The number, size, and distribution of fluid inclusions were highly variable, but did not ap...

Climate changes within Cenozoic extreme climate events such as the Paleocene-Eocene Thermal Maximum and the First Oligocene Glacial provide good opportunities to estimate the global climate trends in our present and future life. However, quantitative paleotemperatures data for Cenozoic climatic reconstruction are still lacking, hindering a better understanding of the past and future climate con...

To study the growth patterns of Alburnoides namaki in the salt lake, For this purpose a total of 325 specimens were sampled using by By hand trawl net with two centimeters mesh (20 mm distance from node to node) in winter of 2018. Male to female sex ratio in the population studied showed There was no significant difference between males and females in studied areas (X2 Gloushjerd=0.074, X2 Yunj...
متن کاملAncient Microbes from Halite Fluid Inclusions: Optimized Surface Sterilization and DNA Extraction
Fluid inclusions in evaporite minerals (halite, gypsum, etc.) potentially preserve genetic records of microbial diversity and changing environmental conditions of Earth's hydrosphere for nearly one billion years. Here we describe a robust protocol for surface sterilization and retrieval of DNA from fluid inclusions in halite that, unlike previously published methods, guarantees removal of poten...
متن کاملIsolation of Halobacterium salinarum retrieved directly from halite brine inclusions.
Halite crystals were selected from a 186 m subsurface core taken from the Badwater salt pan, Death Valley, California to ascertain if halophilic Archaea and their associated 16S rDNA can survive over several tens of thousands of years. Using a combined microscope microdrill/micropipette system, fluids from brine inclusions were aseptically extracted from primary, hopper texture, halite crystals...
